Strategic Sports works closely with the Virginia Tech helmet test lab, which based on real-world head injuries and sports-specific impact scenarios, has identified the most common and critical areas of impact. Cycling helmets are tested at six locations around the helmet at medium and high impact energies, while equestrian helmets are tested front, back and side at two different impact velocities. To maximize the effectiveness of ERT™, pads are placed at these specific locations for all Strategic Sports’ ERT™ cycling, motorcycle, snow, equestrian and industrial helmets.
