Title: PG&P Senior Business Manager

Role Description:
This role is responsible for contributing to the development and implementation of the strategy to grow the Industrial and Special packaged gases businesses in North China. The role essentially is the interface between Marketing and Sales and is tasked with making strategies actionable by the respective sales teams within PGP. The PGP Business Manager is expected to take the lead in challenging existing business models and developing new models for growth including network, product and services development.
The role is based in Shanghai with responsibility for North China
Primary Responsibility:
Ensuring a safe place of work for all employees and ensuring visible felt leadership for SHEQ
Work with Strategic Marketing to further develop the growth strategy in China to gain a leading position
Support the Head of PGP in the development of the packaged gases strategy including, business
development, annual planning, capex control, performance monitoring, etc.Contribute to the capability development of the PGP organization in China
Actively work with the PGP Sales GM and sales teams to develop new industrial and special gases customers
Work with the PGP Commercialisation Manager to commercialise RGC’s investments
Support the development of new products, packages and services within PGP
Work with Strategic Marketing, CSC, Operations and Deliver to develop innovative and productive
commercial processes to support packaged gases product service offers (PSO’s)Lead the PGP network development programme; including acquisitions, JV’s greenfield plant builds, depots, etc
Interface with Strategic Marketing in the areas of Market Research, PSO Development, Strategic Pricing, Market Segmentation, Channel and Equipment Strategies
Support the PGP business with market and competitor intelligence; including assumed competitor
strategies and appropriate responseSupport Commercial Sales in the development of Key Customers

Required Qualification:
Typically 5+ years in a business to business setting with related industrial gases experience
Comprehensive knowledge and experience of the PGP business, including market knowledge, business strategy, customers requirements, industrial and special products & services
Proven track record in business and commercial management; experience in new business start up an advantage
Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline e.g. Engineering, Commerce, Marketing, Finance etc.
