Role Description:
To provide leadership and direction to revenue collection, cylinder asset management and complex query management functions
To optimise Commercial systems, procedures and people resources to deliver an effective revenue management process
To act as a key Commercial focus for knowledge & decision making in respect of SAP Commercial processes and to ensure all statutory and internal control requirements are met.
To drive HPO credit-to-cash best-practice business process improvement
Ensure customer satisfaction through timely and professional resolution of complex queries.
Provide a focal point for financial support and guidance to the CSC
Primary Responsibility:
Provide leadership and direction to revenue collection, cylinder asset management and complex query management (OTC) functions in order to deliver class leading debtor performance through consistent year on year DSO reduction and fully maximised business cash flow. This will be achieved through innovation, exploitation of IS technology and best practise credit management and complex query resolution, skills and techniques.
Through an understanding of the needs of the Business and the ability to network with key managers optimise Commercial systems, procedures and people resources in order to deliver
a. the most cost-effective service
b. tailored innovative solutions to improve service to customers and ,thereby, securing and
retaining business.
c. a source of talent for the Business
d. the transition of the CSC from cost centre to profit generation centre.Act as a key Commercial focus for knowledge & decision making in respect of SAP commercial processes, credit, CAM and complex query management systems and processes and to lead BCP and BOP in credit, CAM and query management within the RBU.
Drive HPO credit-to-cash best-practice business process improvement
Through the management and development of a complex query resolution system provide a service which ensures complete customer satisfaction.
Ensure effective controls are in place to meet Corporate Governance requirements and ensure statutory requirements are maintained as per the directives set out by the appropriate statutory bodies.
Manage cylinder asset management to best secure company assets and improve profit through innovation process solutions
To initiate, plan, develop and coordinate team based ‘sweep’ exercises
To interpret, organise and coordinate special exercises requested by the business including large scale customer stock check programmes, migration of competitor supplied customer to Linde supply and recovery of Linde assets
As a senior member of the CSC Management Team participate in defining and implementing policy for the CSC and the Business as a whole in order to achieve aims and objectives.
Prepare the CSC cost budget & provide a monitoring function by preparing and reviewing monthly
monitoring statistics/ reportsTo promote effective people management; maximize the productivity of the team by providing leadership, motivation and development opportunities to achieve the CSC’s objectives

Knowledge of appropriate VAT and tax legislation
Required Qualification:
Degree in business or any associated discipline, preferably financial background
Financial qualification very desirable
Experience gained in a large, complex organisation
At least 8+ years commercial experience, gained in a business to business environment
P&L experience, including capability to analyse financial statements and reports
Experience of leading and developing teams
Experience of change
