Title: Distribution Engineering Manager-PG&P
Report to: PG&P Operations Engineering Manager

Role Description:
Responsible for the functional management of Distribution issues under PG & P Operations in the Region. Help to look after the “Deliver” aspects in the Cylinder Supply Chain Management scope of work.
Monitoring & support the safe, reliable and efficient operation of cylinder distribution and related
processes in meeting customer requirement.Provide guidance and support to the site Distribution team in PGP related engineering and technology aspects.
Planning & support in implementing and monitoring Best Operating Practice (BOP) and KPIs, reviewing standard, processes & specifications to support the Front - line Distribution teams.
Primary Responsibility:
Conduct plans to ensure all distribution activities meet The Linde Group safety, quality and environmental standards and national legislative requirements.
Provide guidance and support to the site distribution in PGP related engineering & technology including cylinder truck design and development, vehicle equipments/components operation design and standard development, cylinder handling equipment design and development, etc. to ensure safe and efficient distribution operation.
Look after the delivery of the transport safety plan and audit in the front-line Distribution by helping to apply risk analysis principles in the identification, mitigation and elimination of potential risks in the Distribution related activities.
Delivers distribution strategies that support business in delivering the product and service offers ( PSO ) in full and on time, to satisfy with the customer requirement .
Ensures that the Distribution teams implement projects that will contribute to the achievement of the RBU’s business growth in accordance with set targets and objectives.
Provide guidance and support to the front-line distribution teams in identifying, prioritising and
implementing productivity improvement programmes in line with Regional / Global BOP.Provide functional leadership to guide and support front-line distribution teams in process management and HPO project implementation, Smart Card review and implementation.
Facilitate Operations Benchmarking and provide guidance in setting up KPIs, co-ordinating and monitoring KPI improvement & reporting.

PGP Distribution capability – good grasp of and ability to apply distribution management and techniques
Good understanding of and ability to apply safety concepts.

Demonstrate engineering capability and experience.
Flexibility in using approaches to influence behaviours of staff of various levels.
Fluent in spoken and written English and Chinese.
Required Qualification:
Qualified Degree or equivalent in engineering
At least 5 years related experience in distribution, Logistic and fleet equipment design & development, with several years in a management capacity.
Should possess a wide range of operational skills and experience in PG & P Operations particularly distribution engineering.
