Title: Cylinder Asset Planning Specialist
Report to: Supply Chain Planning & Sourcing Manager - RGC
Department: PG&P
Location: Shanghai

Role Description:

1. To be responsible for delivery and maintenance of the ICC (individual cylinder control) program into selected PGP sites using the global standard process, system and tools to support the ICC strategy and roadmap for RGC.

2. To support the management of the cylinder capex planning and drive the improvement of the cylinder asset rotation, utilisation and control in the entire supply chain.

Primary Responsibility:

1. Work in compliance with legal requirements, closely follow relevant safe work procedures and health & safety rules and perform all duties in a manner taking care of the health and safety of himself or herself and others in the workplace

2. Roll out the ICC system and relevant processes to any selected sites in RGC

3. Work as a Superuser role and be able to conduct user training, design reports fit to the business and lead the troubleshooting for any of the ICC equipment and software/programme.

4. Work as a contact point within the business for the management and maintenance of the system

5. Coordinate with system vendor for any improvement and technical support.

6. Interface global ICC team for any new process changes and initiatives

7. Support the RGC cylinder capex planning and management to enable the market strategies and optimise financial objectives.

8. Monitor the GDE cylinder asset purchase to reflect the need of business strategy and demand forecast as a result of the S&OP process

9. Support the global cylinder re-deployment initiatives by looking at the opportunities of transferring and receiving cylinders within sites in RGC and out to other RBUs.

10. Drive the improvement of cylinder asset rotation, utilisation and control in the supply chain by using ICC and rationalise the benefit of protecting Linde’s investment on cylinder asset and system.

11. Evaluate the cylinder control method where ICC is not available and make a recommendation on
    appropriate alternatives.

12. Manage and monitor relevant KPI related to ICC

13. Support any Ad-hoc projects related to CSCM process area as assigned by line manager

5. Good communication and presentation skill in both English and Chinese.

6. Good IT skill with knowledge of SAP/ERP system.

7. Expertise in operations, supply chain, distribution or commercial/CSC area

Required Qualification:

1. Qualified Degree or equivalent in technical or commercial discipline.

2. 3 years related experience working in gas business

3. Project management especially with experience of implementing any business application system

4. Should possess a wide range of skills and experiences in any form of planning

5. Occasionally work at non-office hour for a conference call with global team and vendor from USA or European time zone.
