Title: Laser Application Expert
Report to: Head of Laser Applications (Munich)
Department: Marketing & Technology
Location: Shanghai

Primary Responsibility:

1. Determine in collaboration with other departments a suitable laser gases product and services offer and, if needed, with regional variations

2. Responsibility for customer events in alignment with the local organisation

3. Monitor and record competitor activities

4. Assist in market studies for new products and solutions

5. Be driven by customer requirements, and provide technology feedback and ideas to other Linde
   development departments

6. Publish articles in technical journals, presentations on congresses, customer symposia

7. Provide technical input for communication material, and contribute to tradeshow/events

8. Maintain, and contribute to, online knowledge management tools

9. Provide training for sales force for laser specific topics

10. Responsibility for technical sales brochures and documentation

Required key skills (functional/technical):

1. Good technical, skills understanding practical needs

2. Ability to work in complex organisations

3. Strong communication skills (in English and Chinese)

4. Good ability to manage projects

5. Good communication skills

6. Ability to combine market needs with technical innovation

Required Qualification:

1. University degree in relevant science (ideally engineering or applied physics)

2. Good knowledge of industrial laser technology, applications and equipment

3. Preferably 5 years experience in laser applications for metal fabrication in manufacturing industry, with a commercial focus

4. Excellent speaking and writing skills in English language
