WCPEC-8
The World Conference on Photovoltaic Energy Conversion (WCPEC), the biggest platform in the world for research and development in the photovoltaic industry, is held every four years, combining the three biggest and most important international photovoltaic conferences: the European PV Solar Energy Conference (EU PVSEC), the Photovoltaic Specialists Conference (IEEE PVSC) and the International PV Science and Engineering Conference (PVSEC).
Top global experts in various photovoltaic sectors will meet to take stock of the situation, exchange information and network in a series of parallel events, including presentations, workshops, round tables and discussion sessions Programme (wcpec-8.com)
The events include also the awarding of prof. Martin Green, for his many contributions to advancement of photovoltaic science and technology, in particular for the development, in collaboration with colleagues, of PERC cells.
The event will bring the topic of energy and renewable energies to the spotlight, especially important in light of the ongoing fossil energy crisis. Solar energy has a key role to play in the energy transition and WCPEC is the ideal place for discussing the evolution of the photovoltaic industry.
FuturaSun will of course be present in this stimulating, high level international setting. The Italian company based in Cittadella (Padua) is one of the most dynamic international players in the production and commercialisation of high efficiency photovoltaic modules.
In the FuturaSun speech “IBC ZEBRA technology and Company Vision” Lisa Hirvonen, product manager, will present the company's contribution to the current evolution of the photovoltaic industry: on the one hand, an additional and even greater drive of R&D for the development of high efficiency modules, on the other, an increase in production capacity, with an ambitious industrial policy for the construction of a new plant in Europe, with the aim of doubling the 1 GW production capacity already operational in China.
FuturaSun will also have a stand in the Exhibition section, a meeting point for presenting the company, the products and in particular the IBC ZEBRA technology, which FuturaSun has been applying to its ZEBRA modules for two years now, and for holding one-to-one meetings on products, research and development targets and industrial plans.
