On February 6, FuturaSun and CAREL Electronic (Suzhou) Co., Ltd held a signing ceremony for a rooftop distributed photovoltaic project, in which both parties will carry out in-depth cooperation in the field of photovoltaic power generation projects. Stefano Russano, General Manager of FuturaSun's System Division, signed the investment agreement with Luciano Marzaro，Managing Director of Carel China as the representative.

The rooftop PV project is located in Suzhou High-tech Zone, with a total construction area of about 5.988 square meters, and is expected to use 1.016 pieces of FuturaSun FU 550 M Silk® Plus PV modules. Upon completion, the project will generate an average annual electricity production of over 504.219 kWh.And the cumulative power generation will be no less than 12.605.477 kWh during the 25-year life cycle, saving about 5.206 tons of standard coal and reducing about 13 tons of carbon dioxide per year. The successful signing of this distributed rooftop PV project will also promote mutual benefit and development for both parties.

As the price of traditional energy continues to rise, and with the full release of production capacity and technology, PV power in 2023 will be the cheapest power in the world. The "China Distributed Photovoltaic Industry Development White Paper 2022" shows that up tp 2022, China's distributed photovoltaic accounted for 14.4% of the total electricity installed, making it the second largest renewable energy source after hydropower.

According to the trend of the industry, by the end of 2023 the installed power of photovoltaic may exceed 500 million kilowatts, with a high probability of surpassing hydropower (including pumped storage) and becoming the second largest power source in China. Solar energy has become the mainstay of new energy .

Rooftop photovoltaic projects are the cornerstone of a new type of power system with new energy sources as the mainstay, adopting a "self-generation, surplus power online" electricity consumption model to reduce energy consumption, revitalise idle rooftop resources and achieve efficient use of resources. In the future, FuturaSun will continue to explore diversified PV+ solutions and seek win-win cooperation with more partners to achieve the harmonisation of economic, social and environmental benefits.
