Carbon Neutrality and Net Zero is a growing concern for countries, corporations, and civil society. Leading economies such as the European Union (EU) and China also announced sweeping plans to dramatically reduce greenhouse gas emissions to slow the pace of climate change.
In the business world, as stakeholders demand more environmental, social and governance (ESG) efforts, regulations tighten and consumers increasingly expect brands to take action, companies must now demonstrate that they are purposeful about sustainability, hold strong ethical standards and operate responsibly in everything they do.
DUSA organized a Roundtable event to discuss the topic "The strategies to achieve the goal of carbon neutrality”on September 6th. 51 DUSA members and friends attended this event.
At the beginning, Mr. Wayne Richmond, the Managing Director of TROX Air Conditioning Components (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. gave a welcome speech and company introduction.

Ms. Nathalie Ieong, Operation Manger of TERAO Asia introduced the target of carbon neutrality, scopes of carbon footprint and the carbon footprint assessment methodology. She also shared some cases about the carbon reduction strategies on exiting buildings and new construction projects.
"Photovoltaics will become a building material in the future to help the construction of zero-carbon cities” Mr. Stefano Russano, General Manager of FuturaSun EPC Co., Ltd. said in his presentation. He also demonstrate the pathway of Chinese Carbon Neutrality and the collaboration between China and Europe in Carbon Neutrality.
After the presentation, Mr. Shell Wang, Founder of Suzhou DOBE Environment Technology Service Co., Ltd. joined the panel discussion session. Several practical questions were discussed such as how to begin the carbon footprint assessment? Why my company needs to do the carbon neutrality? and etc.
As a popular session of the Roundtable, participants had the factory tour with the leading of Mr. Wayne Richmond and Trox team. The exhibition area and well-organized production workshop gave everyone deep impression.
DUSA plans to provide a platform for further mutual exchange, and will also arrange a series of events to support members on carbon neutrality and manufacturing sustainability.
