On 18th May 2018, the Official Journal of the European Union issued (EU) 2018/736 ~(EU)2018/742 a total of seven directives that amend the exemption regulations for lead in different substances in Annex III of the EU RoHS Regulation. The regulation will come into effect on July 1, 2019.
Corresponding regulations in Annex III to Directive 2011/65/EU are replaced by the following:

Scientific safety assessments must be carried out during the product design phase to the bulk production phase to ensure that relevant products meet the new regulatory requirements and avoid export risk.
