In May 2015, Bisphenol A (BPA, CAS 80-05-7) was added to the Prop 65 list of chemicals as a chemical known to cause female reproductive toxicity.
Up to now, a number of Prop 65 settlement agreements have been reached, covering the limit of BPA in food contact products. Many of these also allow the use of the Prop 65 warning as an alternative. It is important to note that the new and revised language for a clear and reasonable warning has become effective in August 2018.
