摩西·萨夫迪先生是一位建筑师、城市规划师、教育家、理论家和作家。萨夫迪先生1938年出生于以色列海法，1961年毕业于麦基尔大学，获得建筑学学位。在师从路易斯康之后，萨夫迪先生回到蒙特利尔，督导1967年世界博览会的总体规划。1964年他成立了自己的建筑师事务所，以实现基于他本科毕业论文的人居67项目。

Moshe Safdie is an architect,urban planner, educator, theorist, and author. Born in Haifa, Israel , in 1938, Safdiegraduated from McGill University in 1961 with adegree in architecture. After apprenticing with Louis I. Kahn, Safdie returnedto Montreal tooversee the master plan for the 1967 World Exhibition. In 1964 he establishedhis own firm to realize Habitat ‘67, an adaptation of his undergraduate thesis.

His work continues to evolve andgrow, guided by a strong set of values and without succumbing to currenttrends.  Safdie is committed toarchitecture that supports and enhances a project’s program; that is informedby the geographic, social, and cultural elements that define a place; and thatresponds to human needs and aspirations. Completing a wide range of projects,such as cultural, educational, and civic institutions; neighborhoods and publicparks; mixed-use urban centers and airports; and master plans for existing communitiesand entirely new cities, Safdie has made lasting contributions to the qualityof life in cities and neighborhoods around the world.

His firm, Safdie Architects, currently has offices in Boston,Toronto, Jerusalem, Singapore and Shanghai. Safdie has realizedprojects all over the world, including YadVashem HolocaustMuseum, Jerusalem;National Gallery of Canada, Ottawa; KhalsaHeritage Centre, Anandpur Sahib, India ;United States Institute of Peace Headquarters, Washington,D.C.; and Marina Bay Sands Integrated Resort, Singapore .

Housing has been a continual interest of the firmsince its founding. In addition to the Chonqing Eling project, work currentlyunderway in Asia includes residential developments in Qinhuangdao, China(Golden Dream Bay); Singapore (SkyHabitat in Bishan); and Colombo, Sri Lanka aswell as mixed use developments throughout Asia.
