On April 29, with the long whistle of trains, the first two dedicated alumina freight trains, carrying approximately 2,300 tons of alumina, smoothly departed from Caofeidian in Hebei Province and Xi'an in Shaanxi Province, heading for RUSAL’s smelter in Siberia, Russia. This milestone initiative not only strengthens trade ties between China and Russia but also represents an innovative step in securing alumina supply for RUSAL while reducing transportation-related carbon emissions.
