   Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen. Did anyone call me just now? Hey, don’t embarrass me , just say yes. Okay. Relax. A few days ago, I chose the topic “How to be an international youth.” This topic may be too broad for my small mind. But because of my career, I think I can say “I’m an international youth”. 

     Hah, just kidding. 

     China Southern Airlines is taking an international strategy. As a basic youth employee, a front-line employee, I represent the company’s image for each passenger in every flight. And here come the questions. How do we define the “international youth?” What are the essential factors that they have possess?Okay, put it away. Let me tell you a story. 

   I’m a 25-year-old flight attendant and actually, my flying career has just begun. Before being a flight attendant, I worked for Ericsson. The salary and the company block made me a little arrogant. 

   Then I saw a commencement speech by Steve Jobs. He shared his three stories and it really shocked me. He has been asking himself every day since he was 17,“If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I am about to do today?”

    Whenever the answer has been “No” for too many days in a row, you know you need to change something. 

Time is limited. There is no reason not to follow my heart. What is the most important thing in my life? What I really want to do? Does my dream can only be my dream?

So, here I am. 

    Now back to the first question, what’s the essential factors that we must have to be an international youth? After all the things I have experienced, in my point, listening to your inner voice and taking actions are the essential factors. 

    Because these two things can make you completely know yourself. Before being a good employee, you need to be yourself. Otherwise, how can you create your own company’s culture, how can you establish the “service” mind, how can you execute the ten behavior standards. 

   Time is limited.Leaving only what is truly important. You need courage to seek the opportunity to do some powerful things to make the world listen to you. So, don’t waste your time living in someone else’s life. Don’t be afraid. 

     Just do it. And, action cures fear.
