The"Belt and Road" and us
First, let’s look at this picture. It’s a dish of salad. Have you ever wondered where these ingredients come from? Now, let’s find out! Tuna fish is from Maldives, olive oil is from Greek, cheese is from Turkey, Lemon is from Tajikistan, potato is from Gansu province… and they are all prepared by a Hong Kong top chef and finally consumed by a Shenzhen customer.
Now, let’s look at this map. This is a typical global supply chain and also a representative of the initiative of millennium: The Belt and Road initiative. It is launched by our country leader and aims to promote prosperity together with other countries.
So, what do we do in this great initiative? Let's see. It is an honor that our company has already taken on the responsibility as a super carrier. Our international routes have covered many countries along the Belt and Road, and we can expect more routes in the coming years. As a member of Cargo Department, I also witness the great effort made by our colleagues. In practice, we promote the new international routes actively and also think out of the box to find the best way to boost our international business. Here are some data about us: Last year, we have fulfilled the bely-hold cargo sales target which is 100 million RMB. Although We only have 9 people in our international cargo sales team, the per capital output is more than 50.000 RMB daily. Down to specific routes, the sales of Sydney has yet reached 200.000 RMB per day for about 20 times, while the sales income of Moscow has reached 300.000 RMB for twice, setting a new record in our department history.
As a part of global supply chain, Cargo freight industry plays an important role in The Belt and Road process. Hence, our Cargo Department must face many challenges as well as opportunities in the near future. But we are confident enough because we are a team with ambition and wisdom. Though the path may be winding and uneven, the process of globalization is unstoppable. We believe that the one who is always prepared for the future and keeps opening up for the world shall prevail in the end.
