rom October 10 to 11, the 27th China-ASEAN Leaders' Meeting and the 27th ASEAN Plus Three Leaders' Meeting were held in Laos. Against the backdrop of slow global economic growth and continuous geopolitical conflicts, economic and trade cooperation between China and ASEAN has shown strong resilience, continuously improved in quality and upgraded, entering a new stage of high-quality development. In addition to trade in goods, China and ASEAN countries have closer service trade, mutual investment, regional connectivity, and deep integration of industrial chains and supply chains, injecting strong impetus into the economic recovery of Asia and even the world.
2024 年，柬埔寨迎来加入东南亚国家联盟（东盟）的第 25 个年头。在这 25 年里，东盟助力柬埔寨实现了战略和经济合作伙伴的多元化，同时也提升了柬埔寨抵御政治、安全以及经济风险的能力。2024 年 1 至 8 月，柬埔寨与东盟成员国之间的贸易额达到 104.9 亿美元，相较去年同期增长了 11.8%，柬埔寨与东盟的经贸合作再次刷新纪录。
2024 marks the 25th anniversary of Cambodia's accession to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). During this period, ASEAN has assisted Cambodia in diversifying its strategic and economic partners and has also enhanced Cambodia's ability to resist political, security and economic risks. In the first eight months of 2024, Cambodia's trade volume with ASEAN member states reached 10.49 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of 11.8% year-on-year. Cambodia's economic and trade cooperation with ASEAN has reached a new high.
自2020年疫情期间，柬埔寨国内生产总值年增长率达到-3.1%，刷新历史最低值，但后期则显示出了较强的经济增长动力，2021年、2022年、2023年，生产总值年增长率分别为3%、5.3%、5.5%。亚洲开发银行近期发布展望报告，预计2024年柬埔寨经济将增长5.8%，2025年经济增速将达到6%，维持了对柬埔寨经济高增长的预期。
Since the epidemic in 2020, Cambodia's annual GDP growth rate reached -3.1%, setting a historical low. However, later it showed strong economic growth momentum. In 2021, 2022, and 2023, the annual growth rates of GDP were 3%, 5.3%, and 5.5% respectively. The Asian Development Bank recently released a outlook report, predicting that Cambodia's economy will grow by 5.8% in 2024 and the economic growth rate will reach 6% in 2025, maintaining high growth expectations for Cambodia's economy.

The overall economy of Cambodia maintains a continuous upward driving force, mainly due to multiple factors. The recovery of the manufacturing industry has strongly driven the growth of exports. The steady development of tourism and the continuous inflow of foreign direct investment have laid a foundation for Cambodia's economic improvement.
2024年上半年，柬埔寨服装、旅行用品等出口同比增长16.9%。柬埔寨海关总署统计，今年前8个月柬埔寨服装、鞋类、旅行用品出口同比持续上升，制造业预计后期仍将维持强势的状态，进而拉动柬埔寨经济增长起到了良好的助推器作用。
In the first half of 2024, Cambodia's exports of clothing, travel supplies, etc. increased by 16.9% year-on-year. According to statistics from the General Department of Customs of Cambodia, in the first eight months of this year, Cambodia's exports of clothing, footwear, and travel supplies continued to rise year-on-year. The manufacturing industry is expected to remain strong in the later period, thus playing a good role in boosting Cambodia's economic growth.
今年1月-8月，柬埔寨贸易总额为369.4亿美元，其中与《区域全面经济伙伴关系协定》成员之间的贸易额升至229.2亿美元，同比增长17.2%。中国仍是柬埔寨最大贸易伙伴，前8个月中柬贸易额突破100亿美元，同比增长24.5%。
From January to August this year, Cambodia's total trade volume was 36.94 billion U.S. dollars. Among them, the trade volume with members of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement rose to 22.92 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of 17.2% year-on-year. China is still Cambodia's largest trading partner. In the first eight months, the trade volume between China and Cambodia exceeded 10 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of 24.5% year-on-year.
从上述内容观察，制造业、服务业、旅游业以及外贸端均呈现出强劲的势头，但是在柬埔寨经济发展持续向好的同时，也需要警惕一系列风险。首先全球主要国家经济增速放缓导致需求下行等因素将给柬埔寨未来经济带来不小的挑战，其次11月5日美国大选尘埃落定，是否再度引发贸易战或波及到亚洲等国家也是需要后期密切关注的事件。
From the above content, manufacturing, service industry, tourism industry and foreign trade all show strong momentum. However, while Cambodia's economic development continues to improve, a series of risks also need to be vigilant. First, factors such as the slowdown of economic growth in major countries around the world leading to downward demand will bring no small challenges to Cambodia's future economy. Second, after the U.S. general election is settled on November 5, whether it will trigger another trade war or affect Asian countries and other events also need to be closely watched in the later period.

The monthly chart of the U.S. dollar against the Cambodian riel shows that the exchange rate basically fluctuates within the range of 4022.00-4164.00. The overall trend is in the box operation stage. It is expected that there will be no unilateral sharp rise or sharp fall in the exchange rate in the later period. Interval fluctuations are likely to remain the main operation mode of the exchange rate.
