About DIC
ZEISS Digital Innovation Center (DIC) aims to build Digital Business Solutions with speed and scale in China for China and for ZEISS, as well as supporting and enabling Shaping in China projects like Myopia Progression Management (MPM). This will build on and improve our local capabilities while connecting to our global ZEISS network of digital experts.
Position Summary
Help digital project teams and strategic Shaping in China (SiC) initiatives to quickly build cloud-first customer-facing solutions in line with local and global integration requirements while defining and building the local tech stack required to operate these products in the long term (“emergent architecture approach”).
Responsibilities
- Governance: Define coherent local tech stack enabling Shaping in China projects to quickly progress – in alignment with local legal & regulatory requirements – together with local IT
- Consulting: Advise projects with defining their target architecture. Support projects with applying technical knowledge to define target architecture and ensure long term technical viability of new deployments.
- Integration: Understand corporate's overall data estate, systems and business priorities to design architectures and solutions. Define and govern required interfaces between global/corporate stems and local systems & provide concepts. Closely work together with local IT department,esp. IT business partner
- Data Governance: Define local data strategy, local data standards, interfaces, etc.
- Being pragmatic and hands-on with real coding support for projects: Design and implement new cloud and integration solutions (hands-on coding required! ~ 30-50%)
Requirements
- A degree in (business) informatics or a similar discipline
- At least 5 years of experience as a software developer, lead developer or leader of a technical team
- At least 2 years of professional experience in a similar position where you gathered strong experience in Chinese Cloud Technology Stack (WeChat, Tencent Cloud, AliCloud, BaiduCloud, etc.)
- At least 2 years working expierence in international company (MNC) as solution architect or integration architect, experiences in local-global system intergration.
- A cloud native mindset with a proven track record in designing and developing cloud-based applications
- Experiences with MS Azure cloud components and APIs
- Experience in integration with standard backend applications (e.g. SAP-ERP, SAP-CRM) and integration technology (RFC, IDOC, Proxy, Process Orchestration)
- Experience in IT architecture consulting and design of governance and rules
