民国成立后，铜元仍继续大量流通使用。1914年，铜元正式改称“铜币”，民国发行的铜币与清最大的区别是龙纹被换成了由稻穗组成的嘉禾纹。各省铸造的铜元大多为两面叉的国旗图案。

此枚中华民国二年四川造币厂造嘉禾贰佰文双旗铜币。藏品正面图案中央为两面交叉的国旗；背面图案为稻穗组成的嘉禾纹，中央竖写“贰佰文”三字，上方为“中华民国二年”六字，下面写“四川造币厂造”。此币铸工精美，文字规范，纹饰清晰，当为民国二年(1913年）四川建币厂早期铸造品。现存世之双旗二百文铜元中，铜币保存较好，钱文、轮廓的清晰程度较好，具有很高的历史价值、艺术价值和收藏价值。
This copper coin was coined by Sichuan Mint in the second year of the Republic of China. The front of the collection is a cross-cutting national flag, and the back is a Jiahe grain composed of rice ears. The central part of the collection erects the words "Baiwen", the top is "two years of the Republic of China" and the bottom is "made by the Sichuan Mint". This coin is exquisitely minted, well-written and clearly decorated. It should be the early castings of the Sichuan Mint in 1913, the second year of the Republic of China.
