应圣元宝背拾，乃五代十国时期燕王刘守光应天元年（公元911—913）所铸钱币之一。历谱所载，皆曰此钱为试铸币，其中的理由为刘守光北燕政权存续时间仅有三年，国小时断，遗存稀罕，虽为言孤仅，然亦定一级，是为珍罕矣。
Ying Sheng Yuan Bao was one of the coins coined by Liu Shouguang, king of Yan, in the first year of Ying Tian (911-913) in the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms. 此藏品铸制规整，厚薄适中，类折三形制，狭穿。其铸相显示，方正圆矩，平整地章，穿轮干干净净。续观字廓，深竣挺拔，鼓凸自然有度，恰到好处。背稍平漫，然亦是字廓线条清晰。无需赘述，藏品铸相自然，亦具官炉品质，其门可开。
This collection is made of regular casting, moderate thickness, three-folded type, narrow piercing. Its casting phase shows that it is square and round, smooth and clean in wearing wheels. Continue to look at the outline of the characters, deep and straight, drum convex natural degree, just right. The back is slightly flat, or the outline is clear. Needless to elaborate, the collection has a natural cast phase, also has the quality of official stove, its door can be opened.
藏品通体薄锈，尚存少见土垢，其锈虽薄，锈层皮壳坚实，包浆分布自然，亦见老道。可见其通体材质泛红，青铜质地，且十分典型，其铜色更可见鲜明老旧。如此不再细表，辩锈识浆，其锈相昭然一派自然天成，值得入手收藏。
