此件水晶原石体积较大，层次分明，保存完整实属难得。水晶的形成条件要比一般石英更加苛刻。首先需要有足够且较稳定的的生长空间，其次要有富含硅质矿物的热液，略偏碱性、盐度较低，然后需要低到高的温度，中到高的压力，最后需要有一定的生长时间，具备这四个条件才可生成水晶。自然界中，发育的节理裂隙及断层是水晶生长的良好空间。水晶常以晶簇、晶洞形式产出，其中水晶洞一般存在于由火山喷发而形成的巨厚熔岩流层的火成岩与玄武岩中。火山喷发时所含的气体或热水溶蚀等作用导致岩层中出现大量的孔隙，当富含硅质矿物的流体进入较薄的熔岩孔隙中，且温、压条件合适时将结晶沉淀出水晶等矿物。

Gas or hot water dissolution during volcanic eruption results in a large number of pore in rock formation. When siliceous mineral-rich fluids enter into thinner lava pore, and the temperature and pressure conditions are appropriate, crystallization precipitates out of crystals and other minerals.
