中华民国，是从清朝灭亡至中华人民共和国建立期间的国家名称和年号，是辛亥革命以后建立的亚洲第一个民主共和国，由中国国民党在南京建立的政权，简称民国。中华民国的建立时间虽不长，但民国时期外交呈现了一个国际化与现代民族国家的建立、遵循国际规则与维护国家利益、法理上的独立与事实上的自主等，甚至到后来纸币的流通，我们至今还受用。民国六年二月，天津造币总厂根据《国币条例》之规定，发行了标明与银圆比价的民国五年版铜币，成分、重量均按国币条例办理。本文主要介绍一枚民国五年壹分币。

此枚民国五年壹分币钱文清晰，包浆自然。钱币中间有圆孔，圆孔外有弧形线圈。弧形线圈内，圆孔左右两侧有“壹分”字样，上环中文繁体“中华民国五年”，下环中文繁体“每一百枚当一圆”，在弧形线圈外对称镌两个圆圈内尖四角形花星。钱币背面为嘉禾图案，钱币轮廓环镌链纹，在其内又镌一线圈，在线圈内镌嘉禾及尖四角图案。嘉禾图案栩栩如生，凹凸感强烈，色泽光鲜自然，整体设计和谐，图案精美。虽然经历了无穷岁月的洗礼，但是如今保存依然较为完好，实属难得的精品钱币。

此枚民国五年壹分币发行之始，银行界尚乐于接受，但民间阻滞，所以流通不广。主要原因是各地军阀为维护自己的利益加以抵制，仍以旧模滥造，同时大量生产双铜元牟利，而北洋又因政局动荡缺乏足够的权威来维持，加之初铸数量较少，因此并没有取代旧铜元，发行失利，现存世甚少，极具收藏价值。民国五年壹分币代表了中国近代的货币文化，反映了我国近代历史、经济、金融的兴衰和沧桑，具有很高的艺术观赏价值和文物价值，也具有一定的保值和升值功能。目前民间留存的民国五年壹分币数量已经不多，非常适合投资和收藏。
