此币正面为袁世凯侧面戎装像，上方铸刻“中华民国三年”六字。钱币背面正中镌币值“壹圓”二字。左右饰刻以嘉禾纹。该枚中华民国三年袁大头边齿分明，包浆自然，有明显的历史流通痕迹，品相俱佳，具有较高的物质价值以及历史价值。存世量极少，流传到民间的更少。
