辛亥革命爆发后，北洋新军创始人袁世凯窃取了革命果实，成为中华人民共和国的总统，随后又进行复辟帝制的活动。北洋政府鉴于当时铸币、纸币十分复杂，流通的中外货币在百种以上，规格不一，流通混乱，折算繁琐，民众积怨，同时也想借助货币改制以解决军费问题，便决定铸发国币。当时，为了巩固国内政局稳定，发展民族经济，也为“制宪”和“称帝”作准备，于是袁世凯发布了《国币条例》，毅然决定在全国统一币制，并把他的头像铸于币面，袁大头由此而来。本文主要介绍一枚民国三年袁大头。

此枚民国三年袁大头钱文清晰，古旧自然，钱币正面中央为袁世凯左侧五分像，古代钱币中鲜有将人物画像刻在钱币表面，一个是因为技术受限，一个是统治者思想受限，上环中文“中华民国三年”字样。钱币背面为为嘉禾图和币值，两条嘉禾左右交互，下系结带，层次感强，纹饰中间铸“壹圆”二字。嘉禾古称生长奇异的禾，古人认为是吉祥的征兆。嘉禾取家和的谐音，寓意”家和万事兴“之意。铸币之上当政者有国泰民安、吉祥如意之愿景，民间收藏，寓意"家和万事兴"之吉祥之宝，故有很高的收藏研究价值。

Jiahe's harmony of choosing family means "home" and "prosperity of everything". On top of coinage, politicians have the vision of national peace, good luck and good luck.
