光绪元宝是清朝光绪年间流通的货币之一，由湖北两广总督张之洞率先引进英国铸币机器铸造银元和铜元，之后各省纷纷仿效，除中央户部，地方省所铸铜元，皆在其正面上缘镌写省名。北洋造光绪元宝在中国近代机器铸币史上属一个大系列，其铸期历时甚长，历经十余载，币模几经更替，造成版别异常繁杂。光绪银币是光绪年间短暂流通过的样币之一，清朝光绪三十三年支部天津造币总厂铸造的，是由清政府度支部设计和正式铸行的清代标准银币。本文主要介绍一枚光绪银币和一枚光绪元宝。

此枚光绪银币正面中央线圈内铸有汉文“光绪银币”四字，线圈上铸有清代寿字图案，线圈左右两侧分别铸有“丁未”二字和双龙图案，银币背面中央铸有“一两”币值字样，两侧则铸有双龙戏珠图案，两条龙的背部和龙腹部共镌有三团云朵，下端镌海浪图案，正面和背面的龙图造型完全不同。此枚光绪元宝正面珠圈内铸有“光绪元宝”四字，珠圈上环满文“光绪元宝”，珠圈左右分别铸有“北洋”二字，下环汉文“库平一两”字样，钱币背面铸有腾龙图案，栩栩如生，上环英文“光绪三十八年”，下环英文“北洋”。两枚钱币然经历了无穷岁月的洗礼，但是如今保存依然较为完好，实属难得。
