料器，指用加颜料的玻璃原料制成的器皿或手工艺品。料器又称“玻璃器”，中国的料器生产约始于元末明初（14世纪中叶），品种包括各种传统首饰、日用装饰品和鸟兽、花果、人物雕刻等1500余种，在国内外享有盛誉。

此藏品为十二生肖料器，表面浮雕着十二生肖，“子鼠骑丑牛；寅虎回头吼；卯兔思月皎；辰龙腾祥云；巳蛇出洞游；午马踏元宝；未羊跪乳咩； 申猴採寿桃；酉鸡啼报晓；戌狗迎贵客；亥猪憨又厚”，交错重叠，玲珑剔透。藏品纹饰层次叠加，十分精美，质地洁白光亮、凝重润厚；所雕刻的12个生肖栩栩如生，惟妙惟肖且还有镂空的雕刻工艺。
The collection is made of twelve zodiac animals, with relief carved on the surface of which are the twelve zodiac animals, "the son rat rides the ugly ox; the Yin tiger roars back; the rabbit thinks of the moon; the Chen Long Tengxiangyun; the snake travels out of the cave; the horse treads on the Yuan Bao at noon; the sheep kneels on their breasts; the monkey picks the peach; the chicken crows to announce the dawn; the dog greets the distinguished guests; the Hai pig is thin and thick, overlapping and exquisite.
