此币为江南省造光绪元宝甲辰库平七钱二分，银币正面中央珠圈内镌满汉文“光绪元宝”四字，圈外上端镌“江南省造”，下端镌币重“库平七钱二分”，左右两侧分镌干支纪年“甲辰”二字，背面中央飞龙图，上下皆镌有英文。此钱币笔划纹饰滚圆深竣，边齿标准，圈齿凸起，颗粒清晰，龙鳞珍珠纹粒粒无虚无粘，地章平整，光滑如板，包浆完美，有鲜明的大清宫廷币风格，实乃上美品。是价值很高的革命文物，具有深远的历史纪念意义。
This coin is made in Jiangnan Province. It has seven cents for Jiachen Kuping of Guangxu Yuanbao. The four characters of "Guangxu Yuanbao" in Chinese are inscribed in the central pearl circle on the front of the silver coin. The upper end of the circle is inscribed "Made in Jiangnan Province", the lower end is inscribed with seven cents for Kuping, and the left and right sides are inscribed with the word "Jiachen" in the chronological year. The central flying dragon map on the back is inscribed in English. This coin pen is well-rounded, with standard edge teeth, protruding ring teeth, clear particles, non-viscous dragon scale Pearl grain, flat and smooth ground, perfect pulping, and distinct Qing court coin style. It is really a fine product. It is a revolutionary cultural relic of high value and has far-reaching historical commemorative significance.
清代的江南省前身是明朝的南直隶江南省，范围大致相当于今天的江苏省、上海市和安徽省。康熙六年（1667年）清廷撤江南省，分设江苏和安徽两个省。南京造币厂将其铸造的银币标明“江南省造”，是因为当时苏州已经有一个专铸机制铜元的造币厂，并且其铸造的铜元均标明“江苏省造”。为避免混淆，南京造币厂将其铸造的银币标明为“江南省造”。江南省造银币系我国货币史上唯一有名无实的省份银币。
