此组清末牡丹花纹四系盖罐一共两件,直颈口,丰肩鼓腹,弧线收于圈足,肩颈处有四个系,且盖子尤存,十分少见。瓷罐通身施白釉,白釉上绘有牡丹花纹和诗词。自唐代以来,牡丹颇受世人喜爱,被视为繁荣昌盛、美好幸福的象征。宋时被称为富贵之花,故成为瓷器上的流行装饰。白釉是一种无色透明釉,而不是白色的釉。白釉是瓷器传统釉色之一,我国古代就有将不含金属氧化物呈色元素的釉料施于胎骨洁白的器物上的工艺,釉色因白润瓷胎的映衬而显出白色,极具艺术欣赏价值。
