甜白是永乐窑创烧的一种白釉。由于永乐白白瓷制品中许多都薄到半脱胎的程度，能够光照见影。在釉暗花刻纹的薄胎器面上，施以温润如玉的白釉，便给人以一种“甜”的感受，故名“甜白”。尤其是脱胎制作工艺极其复杂，大约需要几十道工序。甜白釉釉极莹润，能照见人影，比枢府窑卵白釉有更加明显的乳浊感，给人以温柔甜净之感，所以又称“葱根白”，素有“白如凝脂，素犹积雪”之誉。

此对甜白釉碗，底款大明宣德年制，造型精巧俊秀，胎质洁净，光泽度强，胎体轻薄，釉色洁白细腻，如霜似雪，肥厚莹润如玉，无棕眼(对光斜视，可看到釉面满布极细的小孔，俗称"棕眼"），釉汁肥厚，釉质纯净，釉面平整光滑，似白玉质感，实乃上上之作。更为难得的是保存的很好，无任何明显磨损，使之更难能可贵了。
This pair of sweet and white glazed bowls is made in Xuande year system of Daming Dynasty, with exquisite shape, clean texture, strong luster, light and thin matrix, white and delicate glaze color, such as frost, snow, thick and lustrous jade, no brown eyes (glare squint, you can see that the glaze is covered with tiny holes, commonly known as "brown eyes"), thick glaze juice, pure glaze, smooth glaze, like white jade texture, is really the work of the top. What is more rare is that it is well preserved, without any obvious wear and tear, making it even more valuable.
