四川铜币，是晚清和北洋时期四川省地方政权铸造的货币。由于川省银铜矿缺乏，加之辛亥革命以后军阀割据，致使中央政府《币制条例》关于铜币之原料比例、铜币面额的规定没有严格遵守，四川铜币发行量十分巨大，致使物价虚高、影响经济发展。辛亥革命以后，四川大汉军政府于一九一二年废止大清铜币模板，另铸铜元。进入北洋时代以后，军阀割据、时局动荡，铜价高昂，于是四川铸币厂采取降等减重、加大面值的方法谋取私利。各军阀纷纷效尤，铸造的铜币达数亿枚，四川币制混乱不堪。本文主要介绍一枚四川铜币。

So the Sichuan Mint took the method of reducing weight and increasing par value for personal gain. 此枚四川铜币包浆圆润，铜币正面中央珠圈内铸有“四川铜币”四字，其中心铸有芙蓉花纹。珠圈上环“军政府造”四字，下环“当制钱五十文”字样，标明币值，左右铸有花星纹饰。铜币背面中央线圈内铸有篆书“汉”字，因而钱币收藏者也称之为“汉”字铜元，线圈上环镌“中华民国元年”六个字，左右分列四星花饰。“汉”字线圈圈外环绕有十八个小圆圈，代表当时的十八个省份。十八个小圆圈围绕着“汉”字联成一体，寓意十八省人民团结起来共同为“驱逐鞑虏，恢复中华”而战斗。它带有辛亥革命那一时期鲜明的时代印记，见证了那一段波澜壮阔的民国历史。
