四川铜币军政府是由四川铜元钱币演变过来的，最早铜元清光绪二十八年(1902)，川督岑春煊始议铸造铜元。光绪二十九年(1903)六月，建立四川铜元局，其规模不大，仅就原购铸小制钱的废机修整使用．厂房是机器局的压铜厂和旧的铜钱厂，铸料是机器局的枪弹废壳边渣和宝川局余铜，圯炼净尽。按铜96%、铅0.1%及其他的比例配铸“当五”、“当十”铜元。所铸铜元悉用紫铜,量较好。以致四川铜元成为全国铜元特点之一。

"Dangwu" and "Dangshi" copper yuan are cast in 96% copper, 0.1% lead and other proportions. The cast copper is pure copper with good quantity. As a result, Sichuan Copper Yuan has become one of the characteristics of Copper Yuan in China.

此枚军政府造四川铜币，钱币正面珠圈内书“四川铜币”四字，中心作海棠花一小朵，上边铸“军政府造”四字，下边铸币值；背面用十八小圈绕一大圈，圈内篆文“汉”字，以直线纹为底。此枚藏品字迹深刻镌秀，包浆浑厚老道，沁色自然，形制规整，充满岁月之痕迹与浓浓的历史沉淀感，具有极高的收藏价值和投资价值。
