民国时期珍稀银币，由上海中央造币厂于民国二十一年(1932)铸造发行。“九·一八“事变之前，国民政府发行了民国二十一年银元，币面刻有一艘双桅帆船，顶上有三只飞鸟，东方有一轮初升的太阳，俗称“落日三鸟”。寓意“击落战机”、“一帆风顺”。不料刚发行，正逢日本军队发动“九·一八”事变，当时有人把空中图案附会为日本国正要升起，三只鸟被说成是东三省要飞掉了，因此舆论哗然，纷纷指责国民党。政府也感到“天上的飞鸟是外国人的徽记，凌驾于中国帆船之上”，都认为不妥，马上下令收回这版银币，以制止谣言流传。
The rare silver coins of the Republic of China were minted and issued by the Shanghai Central Mint in the twenty-first year of the Republic of China (1932). Before the September 18th Incident, the National Government issued the 21-year silver dollar of the Republic of China. On the face of the coin, there was a sailboat with two masts, three birds on the top, and a rising sun in the east, commonly known as the "Sunset Three Birds". Meaning "shooting down the fighter plane", "sailing smoothly", "sailing smoothly". Unexpectedly, just released, coincided with the "September 18" incident launched by the Japanese army. At that time, some people attached the aerial pattern to the uprising of the Japanese state. Three birds were said to be flying away from the three eastern provinces. Therefore, public opinion was uproarious and accused the Kuomintang one after another. The government also felt that "birds in the sky are the emblem of foreigners, above Chinese sailing boats", and they all thought it was inappropriate. They immediately ordered the withdrawal of the silver coin in order to stop rumors spreading.

此枚为中华民国二十一年孙小头壹圆，钱向正面图案为孙中山文装侧面像，人像上方为“中华民国二十一年”字样，背面图案为一艘二桅帆船行于海上，左右“壹圆”字样，顶上有三只飞鸟，东方有一轮初升的太阳，俗称“落日三鸟”。钱币版面设计优雅，雕刻精良，但是，铸造量不多，流通量少所以存世极罕，有极高的历史价值与学术价值。
