Key Data: Shrinkage Patterns and Industrial Value
Shrinkage Phenomenon: After the degummed/bleached greige silk undergoes the sunning process, irreversible length shrinkage commonly occurs.
Shrinkage Formula: Finished Product Shrinkage Ratio = (Original Length of Degummed/Bleached Silk − Measured Length) ÷ Original Length of Degummed/Bleached Silk × 100%
Empirical Value: This shrinkage ratio ≈ the inherent shrinkage rate of the degummed/bleached silk (caused by gambier liquid penetration and fiber physical tightening due to sun exposure).
Application Significance:
Provides pre-shrinkage compensation parameters for garment pattern making, ensuring stable clothing dimensions.
Enables reverse monitoring of sunning process consistency (abnormal shrinkage ratios indicate temperature/humidity control deviations).
Quality Control Notes:
⚠️ Measurement Surface: Must be performed on grassland/a flexible interface; hard ground will cause data distortion.
⚠️ Tool Management: Calibrate the meter ruler for accuracy before starting work each day; error must be ≤0.5%.
⚠️ Environment Recording: Record the temperature and humidity during measurement (e.g., 28°C/65% RH), as the shrinkage ratio is environmentally sensitive.
