The Metamorphosis Epic of Xiangyunsha
Journey of the Material
Bleached plain silk → Sunlight catalysis (25–30 hours of exposure) → Grassland respiration (spreading for moisture regain) → Dye yam immersion (6–8 cycles of dipping and sunning) → Pearl River mud coating (pond mud mordanting) → Artisan’s touch (softening and rolling) → Finished product certification (measurement and grading).
Final Achievement
An obsidian-lustered silk face (mud side) and a russet-translucent silk back (dye yam side)—a dual-toned vitality embodying life’s dynamic contrast.
The Industrial and Humanistic Value of Packaging
✅ Physical Protection
Roll packaging: Maintains fabric tension and prevents creases (mandatory for high-end apparel materials).
Fold packaging: Saves storage space (suitable for small craft materials).
✅ Cultural Transmission
Natural material packaging reflects the eco-friendly essence of the craftsmanship.
Artisan signatures highlight the intangible cultural heritage and handmade nature.
✅ Sense of Ceremony in Delivery
Encapsulated within is not only the crystallization of sunlight, morning mist, river mud, and artisan dedication but also a living textile nurtured by the land and waters of Lingnan.
