Robert Parker is an American born wine critic who first communicated his passion by writing a wine guidebook in 1975 after he resigned from his job as an assistant general counsel at a bank.  Nicknamed ‘million-dollar nose', Parker is the owner of The Wine Advocate newsletter which he first launched in 1978.  The Wine Advocate has over 50,000 subscribers today, primarily in the United States, but include readers from over 37 other countries.

Suckling is not only known for his critiques of wine, but also for his reviews of cigars. Suckling is an influential wine critic and he currently resides in Tuscany, Italy and continues to write blogs for his website.

Bob Campbell is a wine specialist from New Zealand. Campbell has judged at wine competitions around the world and is an author and educator. Campbell is also one of the 300 people in the world who holds the Master of Wine qualification. James Halliday is another well-respected wine critic, writer, winemaker and wine competition judge. Halliday was born in Australia and began his career in wine by founding the Brokenwood winery in 1970. In 1985, Halliday founded another winery called the Coldstream Hills winery, which was later acquired by Southcorp Wines.
