Last week was spent outdoor cleaning and preparing the materials to be upcycled.
This week, we get to stay indoors (away from the sun!) and start designing on the upcoming RAD items.
Hundreds of ideas are pitched, and while they’re all great but we have to narrow them down to a select few. We’ll definitely reconsider those ideas in the future!
Once the ideas are agreed on, it’s time to sketch them out and select the materials to bring them to life.
Ready, steady, sew! Revving up the sewing machines to stitch the PVC vinyl and denim materials together.
Upcycling may sound tedious, and you may even ask why go through all this when we can just shop for a brand new item?
Truth is, there’s too much waste on earth and upcycling helps clean up the mess. But upcycling is just one of the many small steps to a better and greener tomorrow, and we’ll need to do so much more.
Next week, the designs will take shape and come to life!
