DENTSU CREATIVE, in partnership with Fudan University, launched the dentsu Z Camp in 2021 in Shanghai to build an inclusive platform for young college students to unlock their creative passion, enable robust learning of practical skills, and nurture the next gen of talents.

This year, 55 shortlisted young Chinese talents out of over 5000 applications received from more than 400 universities globally joined a 2-day camp held over the 25th and 26th of March in Shanghai.


From collaborative brainstorming, interdisciplinary innovation, and strategic insights to social and experiential designs, the task force members, who specialized in new media, storytelling, visualizing, cultural insights, and social planning, co-created and presented 10 groups of full campaigns in 12 hours that shared the Gen-Zers’ unique perspectives connecting brands to their target communities.

Guest speakers across media, fashion, film, and AI industries, and Jean Lin, Global Chief Culture Officer of Dentsu Group Inc., shared their stories and insights into avant-garde trends, creative execution, innovation, and social responsibilities to inspire these young talents to be forces for good and make an influence.



Lena Yang
Beyond a creative talent, young people need to think about how to be a meaningful inspirer, a purpose driver, and an impactful creator.”

Lena Yang, CEO of WWD China, joined dentsu Z Camp for the second time and shared insights on what makes a real sustainable brand and campaign and how to drive fashion and lifestyle brands to grow from good for ESG through creativity.




Justin Chou

Justin Chou, Fashion Designer & Founder of JUST IN XX, interpreted how to integrate traditional Chinese styles and culture into haute couture and merchandising that can create new cultures on a global stage.

ABOUT DENTSU Z CAMP 2023
Dentsu Z Camp provides an inclusive collaboration platform for young college students and graduates to unlock their creative passion and nurture the next gen of talents in the creative and ads industries. With the Department of International Cooperation and Exchanges (Office of Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan Affairs) of the Ministry of Education as advisor and supported by the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, DENTSU CREATIVE in partnership with Fudan University launched dentsu Z Camp 2023, co-organized by the Office of Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan Affairs of Fudan University and UniYep. Since kick-off, the camp has received over 5000 applications of talents graduated from 400+ worldwide universities and colleges, including Fudan University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Communication University of China, Beijing Film Academy, Royal College of Art, Parsons School of Design, Tokyo University of the Arts, and more. 55 applicants were shortlisted for the camp.
