SmithStreetSolutions, a Shanghai-based strategy consulting firm, is looking for motivated, aspiring consultants to join our team and assist multinational companies to develop China growth strategies.
The JA program is designed to develop consulting talent by providing trainees with an integrated project team experience and providing exposure to the entire consulting process, allowing trainees to take their first step into a career as a strategy consultant.
The JA Program Provides:
– Integration with a consulting project team and hands-on responsibility, including the opportunity to join in client calls
– Experience doing the work of a consulting analyst
– Exposure supporting strategic initiatives of multinational corporations (Fortune 1000)
– Solid base of knowledge, skills and understanding of strategy consulting
– Fast track to full-time Analyst position following successful program completion
Responsibilities:
– Understand client needs and business context of clients work
– Conduct industry research and company research, both primary and secondary
– Data analysis and insight development based on project scope
– Translation and transcription
– Coordinate activities with senior management
Qualifications:
– Pursuing Bachelor’s degree or above, with preferred focus in finance, economics, pharmaceutics, medical or related field
– Interest in consulting and business issue analysis
– Strong communication skills
– Good command of English both spoken and written
– Independent and strong logical thinking, analytical skill and detail-oriented disposition
– Strong sense of responsibility, great attitude, openness to learn and good team player
– Able to work under pressure

Role and Responsibility:
Provide the support the for overall finance costing activities per the immediate requests as below:
a) Provide the support to the daily cost maintenance of PN, Scrap request documents consolidation and preliminary verification.
b) Support the monthly closing jobs, such as PFO, PPV, Sales/COGS review & do analysis, BU forecasting on costing function.
c) Support annual jobs. e.g. Annual recosting, Stocktaking, budgeting preparation…etc.
d) Assist costing manager in project implementation in order to get quality project results
e) Support & prepare relevant documents per US/PRC audit requirement.
Requirement:
a) Bachelor degree or above, prefer junior grade students.
b) Can work 4~5 days a week until Dec.2015.
c) Accounting major is preferred
d) Accountability, can work under pressure and good interpersonal
e) Excellent skill on MS-office software applications
