Signing Principal (RO), 

Corporate Finance

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and supervise the execution of corporate finance transactions, including IPOs, fund-raising, and financial advisory services;

  2. Manage corporate finance transactions which include due diligence work, record keeping, internal compliance work and coordination and management of other professional parties on the transactions;

  3. Act as a Responsible Officer, ensuring strict adherence to all relevant regulations;

  4. Communicate with clients, professional parties and the regulators including the Stock Exchange and the SFC;

  5. Cooperate with coverage team, sector teams and other departments to provide support for marketing activities;

  6. Provide guidance and support to junior team members, and enhance employees' understanding of the industry and regulatory policies through training;

  7. Previous deal experience in TMT and/or healthcare industry is preferred.

Requirements:

Head of ECM

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Proactively identify and pursue ECM transaction opportunities;

  2. Cultivate and maintain solid relationships with corporate clients;

  3. Lead ECM pitch initiatives, showcasing specialist expertise and distribution strength;

  4. Leverage and expand a robust institutional investor network (including sovereign wealth funds, long-only funds, hedge funds, and family offices etc.) to ensure strong transaction support;

  5. Oversee investor marketing and roadshows; arrange management meetings and secure order commitments from high-quality investors;

  6. Analyze market dynamics and investor demand to provide critical input on deal structure, pricing, and timing;

  7. Manage transaction execution upholding the highest professional standards;

  8. Mentor and develop junior team members to enhance team capabilities and professionalism;

Requirements:

  1. A holder of Type 1, 4 and 6 regulated activity under the SFC;

ECM Syndicate

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in deal origination, including pitch book and proposal preparation and maintain client/investors relationships;

  2. Actively contribute to NDR/road show arrangement and deal settlement;

  3. Execute institutional sales initiatives across ECM transactions, with a focus on distribution of IPOs, follow-on offerings;

  4. Develop and maintain strong relationships with domestic and international institutional investors, to support transaction execution and investor engagement;

  5. Assist in handling the ECM transactions including IPOs, placing and other ECM transactions;

  6. Participate in the end-to-end syndication process;

  7. Maintain ECM-related database and keep proper ECM records for transactions, coordinate with internal parties;

  8. Support seniors in various ad-hoc tasks and projects related to equity capital markets.

Requirements:

  1. University degree or equivalent experience;

  2. 5+ years of Equity Capital Market experience within an investment bank;

  3. Good understanding and execution experience of ECM transactions with knowledge of ECM related listing rules and regulatory requirements;

  4. Actively monitor capital market movements and major capital market activities;

  5. Familiar with capital markets financial tools such as Bloomberg, FactSet and Dealogic;

  6. Good communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with other team members;

  7. Self-directed and highly motivated, ability to work under pressure in a rapidly changing environment in order to meet deadlines;

  8. Strong understanding in financial concepts, able to analyze businesses/industries and trends; Strong attention to detail, technical skills with clear and logical manner;

  9. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Mandarin Chinese;

ECM Junior

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide supporting, administrative and research work on various functions of the ECM team;

  2. Responsible for the production of ECM weekly which is sent to all IB colleagues on weekly basis on market conditions;

  3. During pitching, to provide input where ECM is responsible such as ECM market updates, valuation pages for potential issuer, roadshow materials, potential investor interest, profiles, suggested pre-marketing and roadshow schedules;

  4. During a live transaction to provide timely information to sales during a live transaction;

  5. During bookbuilding, to help the syndicate desk in collation of demand orders from the various sales teams and to provide the requisite pages for daily bookbuilding of demand momentum to issuers to ensure good allocation for BOCOM’s clients;

  6. During bookbuilding to provide the necessary ECM market update pages to travelling bankers as well as peer valuation pages; 

  7. Coordinate well with other departments such as the various sales departments, research and investment banking during a live transaction by ensuring that the book color and momentum are accurately given;

  8. Ability to communicate well with third parties such as issuers, other syndicate banks and brokerages.

Requirements:

  1. Degree, preferably major in Business Administration or Finance; 

  2. At least 1 year of related work experiences;

  3. Ability to use Word, Excel, and Powerpoint together with strong analytical and communication skills;

  4. Good analytical, quantitative and communication skills.

Junior Associate

Treasury Trader

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Understand the company's overall funding situation, be familiar with position management, formulate strategies based on daily capital needs, and manage liabilities to ensure the liquidity and security of funds;

  2. Prepare analysis reports on daily cash forecast, update bank's internal rates, monitor cash positions, liquidity management, review business activity reports and financial position forecasts etc.;

  3. Be familiar with various products in the financial market, execute transactions including banking loan, bond, foreign exchange transactions, etc., to achieve profit targets;

  4. Evaluate and control risks in the transaction process to ensure that trading activities are carried out within a controllable range;

  5. Maintain good relations with interbank counterparties, securities firms, etc., and expand business cooperation channels;

Requirements:

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Responsibilities will be drafting, reviewing and providing feedback on legal documentation related to the business of the company and back office functions as necessary;

  2. Participate in and provide legal advice/opinions on various internal committees covering the various lines of businesses and contribute to the overall corporate governance framework to protect the firm’s reputation;

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Market and explore various client resources, mainly including HNW, Corporate, Listed companies and other non-licensed investment entities;  

  2. Identify clients’ needs to provide suitable global trading and custody services, wealth management advices, and margin financing facilities in the global securities market, with major investment products including global stocks, ETFs, futures and other exchange products, as well as OTC products, such as funds, bonds and structured products;

Requirements:

  1. University degree or above in business administration or related disciplines;  

  2. 5 years’ experience in sales, client relationship or business development in financial or banking industry, with the ability to develop and maintain clients; 

  3. Independently and having accumulated good client resources;  

  4. Have basic information processing capabilities of Hong Kong market and identification capabilities of wealth management products;  

  5. Understand the compliance and risk control procedures of Wealth Management and able to implement accordingly;  

  6. Eligible to be licensed under SFC in dealing in securities and futures;  

  7. Strong sense in team work and self-motivated, with communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environment;

Equity Analyst

  1. Generalist focusing on China equity both in Hong Kong and A-share markets, and consumer/healthcare coverage experience is preferred;

Treasury Settlement

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Check and complete the settlement on treasury products and related activities in accordance with the established procedures & risk control, services standards;

  2. Participate and take lead in various projects relating to Treasury Settlement, provide user requirements, and conduct UAT;

  3. Reconcile the position and follow up any trade breaks;

  4. Liaise with external counterparties and internal departments to resolve any trade mismatch, failed settlement and follow up coupon claim. Reconcile the position and follow up any trade breaks;

  5. Manage and check the collateral movement, margin call and margin dispute with counterparties;

  6. Perform related duties as assigned by Department Head.

Requirements:

  1. Minimum 10 years of working experience in banking / securities operations with relevant experience in settlement is preferred;

  2. Degree holder or above in related discipline, such as finance, accounting is preferred;

  3. Sound knowledge in collateral management is preferred;

  4. Sound knowledge in treasury products including but not limited to Bond, repo, IRS, options etc. ;

  5. Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, fluency in Putonghua is an advantage;

  6. Candidates with less experience will be consider as Senior Associate;
