Yrjo Kukkapuro
芬兰国宝级艺术家和设计师, 20世纪大师中获奖最多的设计师之一，曾获“龙宁设计奖”、阿尔托基金奖、美国USA/IBO奖等几乎国际国内室内和家具设计的所有著名奖项，在众多奖项中，库卡波罗认为最具有社会意义的就是1974年在美国纽约举行的“国际椅子设计竞赛”头奖。
Yrjo Kukkapuro is a national treasure-classartist and designer in Finland. He is one of the most awarded masters in the 20th century who has won almost all the prestigious awards of interior design and furniture design, including Lunning Prize, Alvar Aalto Medal and USA/IBO Prize,etc. Among those prizes, Kukkapuro regards the first prize of “International Chair Design Competition” held in New York in 1974 as the most social significant.
库卡波罗在现代家具设计领域创造了很多经典之作，是第一个将人体工学引入椅子设计的设计师，作品卡路赛利椅（Karuselli）更以舒适的功能而被联合国产品管理组织评定为“20世纪最重要的99件设计”之一。因为在设计领域的杰出成就，他历任赫尔辛基艺术设计大学教授、校长，荣获北欧最高学术称号——教授艺术家。
Kukkapuro creates numerous of classic works in the field of modern furniture design. He is the first designer to combine ergonomics with chair design. His work, Karuselli, has been awarded as “The Most Important 99 Design Works in the 20th Century” by the United Nations Product Management Organization due to its comfort. Because of his outstanding achievement in design field, he has served as professor and president of University of Art and Design Helsinki and has been given the honor of Professor Artist, the highest academic title in Northern Europe.
