2019年3月25日15:00,法国两院院士Mathias Fink受邀在南京大学鼓楼校区科技馆一楼报告厅展开“从时间反演波到时间材料”专题学术报告。
1/3主讲人简介:
Mathias Fink,法兰西科学院院士、法国巴黎高等物理化工学院教授、郎之万研究所创始人。
1973年实现了世界上首次实时医学超声检查,1990年首创并实现了“时间反演快速信号处理”技术。他参与研制的多波成像、超级聚焦、散射介质成像、功能性脑成像等多项技术在国际上被广泛应用于医疗诊断、航空航天、电子通讯等重要领域。
2/3报告摘要:
Phononic crystals and metamaterials are made from assembles of multiple elements usually arranged in repeating paterns at scales of the order or smaller than the wavelengths of the phenomena they influence.
Bacause time and space play a similar role in wave propagation,wave propagation is affected as well by spatial modulation or by time modulation of the refractive index. Here we emphasize the role of time modulation. We show that sudden changes of the medium properties generate instant wave sources that emerge instantaneously from the entire wavefield and can be used to control wavefield and to revisit the way to create time-reversed waves. Experimental demonstrations of this approach will be presented.
Periodic time manipulations can also be studied in order to extend the concept of phononic crystals in the time domain.The difference between periodic time modulation and periodic spatial modulation will be emphasized and the way an antenna radiates in these two kind of situations will be discussed.
