A Ghanaian soccer player has stammered his way through a Man of the Match speech after appearing to reveal he had both a wife and a girlfriend.
Free State Stars team member Mohammad Anas made the blunder during a post-match award interview, following his team’s 2-2 draw with Ajax Cape Town on Friday at Athlone Stadium in Cape Town, South Africa.
Anas begins the interview by thanking his supporters, among them a wife and “girlfriend”.

“Firstly, I appreciate my fans. My wife and my girlfriend,” the22-year-old said.
Realizing his mistake, Anas quickly retractedthe statement and added: “I mean my wife – yeah, sorry to say, I’m sorry- I’mso sorry, my wife!”
Anas continued by stressing his dedication tohis spouse to cover the slip of the tongue.
“I love you so much, I love you so much from my heart, so thank youfor supporting me, there is more to come,” he stuttered.
