Research Analyst/Engineer, Chinese Search Quality
The Role:
LinkedIn is seeking an outstanding research analyst/engineer to design and implement research studies and analytical tools. This critical work will help us to deepen our understanding of how our users search, and to find opportunities to improve our search features and technology. This will include research into the quality of LinkedIn Search for users in China.
Essential Responsibilities:
Design, build and improve analytical tools for investigating user search behavior.
Design and conduct studies to discover how users succeed and fail in their search activities.
Perform analysis of data, discover new insights, and communicate those insights to the rest of the product development team and management.
Skills and Experience:
M.S., Ph.D., or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Statistics, Human-Computer Interaction, or other related field.
Experience in analysis and in the building of analytical tools.
Experience in experimental design and interpretation of experimental results.
Skills in common programming languages, such as Java or Python, and in common analytical tools, such as R or Excel.
Experience in large-scale data mining, using Hadoop or similar platforms.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Ability to read Chinese.
Nice to have skills:
Prior experience with search products, features, and technologies.
Prior experience in analysis of user data from web-based and/or mobile products.
Experience in designing experiments involving human judgment and/or crowdsourcing.
Skills in web-based and/or mobile product design.
