《清明》

清明时节雨纷纷，

The ceaseless drizzle drips all the dismal day,

路上行人欲断魂。

So broken-hearted fares the traveler on the way.

借问酒家何处有，

When asked where could be found a tavern bower,

牧童遥指杏花村

A cowboy points to yonder village of the apricot flower.

1. The Qingming or Ching Ming festival, also known as Tomb-Sweeping Day in English is a traditional Chinese festival observed by the Han Chinese.

清明节也称扫墓节，是从汉代就开始被人们庆祝的中国传统节日。

2. It falls on the first day of the fifth solar term of the traditional Chinese lunisolar calendar. This makes it the 15th day after the Spring Equinox, either 4 or 5 April in a given year.

它指中国传统阴阳历第五节气的第一天，也就是春分之后的第十五天，一般是该年的四月四号或者五号。

3. During the Qingming Festival, Chinese families visit the tombs of their ancestors to clean the gravesites, pray to their ancestors, and make ritual offerings. Offerings would typically include traditional food dishes, and the burning of joss sticks and joss paper.

清明节期间，我们会和家人一块祭拜祖先以及扫墓，为祖先祈福以及供奉一些东西。传统上总会包含一些食物、香表以及纸钱。

4. The holiday is associated with the consumption of qingtuan, green dumplings made of glutinous rice and Chinese mugwort or barley grass.

在此期间人们会吃一些糯米青团，也会弄一些艾草和大麦草做成面团来吃。

随着清明节的到来，全国各地的人们都在怀念和哀悼逝去的亲友。
