VIETNAM - The Second Largest Footwear Exporter In The World

Global demand for leather and footwear in recent years has reached about 23 billion pairs. Vietnam now exports over 1 billion pairs of shoes last year which makes the nation become the second largest leather and footwear exporter in the world. Vietnam exportedUSD19.63 billions’ worth of footwear and bags in 2018, a 9.3 % increase over 2017. In addition, Vietnam made footwear and bags export turnover of more than USD 10.33 billion in the first six months of 2019, witnessing a year-on-year rise of 12.7%.
