过了小年，春节的气氛越来越浓，陇原各地基本进入春节倒计时。
人们依照各种民俗，开始为过春节忙碌起来。陇上各地因地域不同，年俗的内容或细节也有所差异。
但是，无论习俗和传统怎样变迁，年俗里的年味，依然藏在陇原儿女“岁岁常欢愉，年年皆胜意”的温暖祝福里。

今天是农历腊月二十四，距离春节还有六天。
Today is the 24th day of the twelfth lunar month. There are 6 days before the Spring Festival.
民谚称“腊月二十四，掸尘扫房子”。“扫尘”就是年终大扫除，北方称“扫房”，南方叫“掸尘”。
The folk saying goes like, “sweeping the dust and cleaning the house on the 24th day of La Yue”. “Sao Chen” in Chinese means the year-end household cleaning. It is called “Sao Fang” (cleaning the house) in northern China, and “Dan Chen” (sweeping the dust ) in southern China.
据《吕氏春秋》记载，我国在尧舜时代就有春节扫尘的风俗。
According to Master Lü's Spring and Autumn Annals, the custom of sweeping the dust during the Spring Festival has prevailed in China since the Yao and Shun times.
在中文里，“尘”与“陈”谐音，新春扫尘有“除陈布新”的涵义，其用意是要把一切穷运、晦气统统扫出门。
“Dust” is homophonic with “Chen” in Chinese, which means old and past. In this way, “sweeping the dust” before the Spring Festival means a thorough cleaning of houses to sweep away bad luck in the past year.
这一习俗寄托着人们破旧立新的愿望和辞旧迎新的祈求。
This custom shows a good wish of putting away old things to welcome a new life.
在这一天，陇上人家就陆续开始打扫起来，全家老少一起动手，清扫房屋积尘。一番流汗劳碌，居室焕然一新，过年的心情也更加舒畅。
On this day, families in Gansu begin to clean the house and sweep the dust thoroughly. After that, the house looks new and bright, and people will feel more comfortable and happy for the Spring Festival.
