Witness the breathtaking ice waterfalls, born of winter's freeze, that create a spectacular natural display that resembles an enchanted fairy-tale kingdom. These massive ice formations cascade down the cliff faces like crystalline curtains, varying in size and shape, with some extending several meters in length.

It marked the launch of Gansu province's 2024 Winter Ice and Snow Tourism season and the commencement of Qilian Mountain Ski Resort operations. The festivities drew over 2,000 participants who immersed themselves in a diverse array of activities. From a patriotic skiing performance to the traditional thousand-person Guozhuang dance, from spirited snow tug-of-war battles to skillful snow archery competitions, the atmosphere was filled with joy and excitement.The success story extends beyond this single event. 

At the base of these frozen cascades, pristine ice formations have accumulated into remarkable shapes. Visitors can observe towering ice mounds reminiscent of miniature glaciers, delicate formations that mirror blooming flowers and unique ice sculptures that resembles human appearances.

This natural phenomenon has become a significant winter attraction in Gansu province, attracting photographers and nature enthusiasts eager to capture the ethereal beauty of these seasonal ice formations. The spectacle serves as a testament to the remarkable artistry of natural winter processes, transforming the already scenic gorge into an awe-inspiring display of frozen magnificence.
