On July 16th, the Second Training Conference of International Understanding Education for Principal Members of the 100 Sister Schools Initiative, hosted by Foreign Affairs Office of the Gansu Provincial People’s Government, the Gansu Provincial People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (GPAFFC) and the Gansu Provincial Department of Educations, and organized by the High School Attached to Northwest Normal University, was held in Laznhou.

此次会议采用线上线下相结合的方式举行，来自省内各市（州）教育行政部门、高校和180余所中小学的负责人参加会议，新西兰、加拿大等国家结好学校、国际组织线上参会。

Principals from the education administration departments of cities (prefectures), universities and more than 180 primary and secondary schools in the province participated in the meeting offline. Sister schools and international organizations from New Zealand, Canada and other countries participated in the meeting online.

会上，相关专家学者、资深外事工作者和“百校结好”学校校长分别作专题报告，与会专家学者围绕中小学国际理解教育与青少年国际交流、新时代教育对外开放、国际理解教育课程开发的地方经验等主题进行了分享。

At the meeting, relevant experts and scholars, senior foreign affairs workers and principals of the 100 Sister School Initiative gave special reports respectively. The participating experts and scholars focused on the topics such as international understanding education in primary and secondary schools and youth international exchanges, the opening up of education in the new era, and the development of international understanding education courses to share their views.

项目学校代表分组讨论，各抒己见，总结回顾了“百校结好”项目开展五年来的情况，明确了下一步的发展目标和方向，共同探讨了推动青少年国际理解教育和青少年国际交流、加强学校对外开放合作的路径。

Representatives from the sisiter schools discussed in groups and expressed their opinions. They summarized and reviewed the situation of the 100 Sister Schools Initiative in the past five years, clarified the next development goals and directions, and jointly discussed the promotion of youth international understanding education and youth international exchanges, and the path of schools opening up and cooperating.

会议期间，还举行了“甘肃省百校结好协作体”理事会换届会议，选举产生了第二届理事会。

During the meeting, the Reelection Conference of the board of Directors of the Gansu Association of 100 Sister Schools Initiative was also held, and the second board of directors was elected.

据悉，“百校结好”项目是我省发起实施的青少年国际交流项目，在增进中外青少年相互理解和友谊、推动中外地方交流与合作、服务国家总体外交和全省经济社会发展中发挥着重要作用。

The 100 Sister Schools Initiative is an international youth exchange project initiated and implemented by Gansu province. It plays an important role in enhancing mutual understanding and friendship between Chinese and foreign youths, promoting local exchanges and cooperation between China and foreign countries, and serving the country's overall diplomacy and the province's economic and social development.
