June Sports month KIK has Chengdu American Football Team Visit.
David had his Chengdu Panda football team come and visit the kindergarten. Where they gave the full demonstration about American football and the style of game play. This month we focused learning about sports from around the world. All Children will be learning about English verbs and nouns used for many common sports and games. |
The children in A1 class have been exploring a variety of sports during their English lessons. As well as learning the names of various International sports. The children have been practicing multiple disciplines and rules to fully appreciate and understand the importance of team play and sportsmanship. Here you can see A1 class enjoying a competitive relay race of girls vs. boys! The girls won!
The children in A2 class have been exploring a variety of sports during their English lessons. The children enjoyed exploring how to play various sports from football, basketball, tennis, and etc. A2 class enjoyed learning a variety of different movements and rules to help develop their gross motor skills and teach them to play as a team.
Bowling time is fun time! Class A3 loved our sports activity: bowling. After watching a video of some kids playing bowling, the class got pretty much excited about it. Kids learned how to count and arrange the bowling pins, and of course, bowl! More importantly, kids learned to patiently wait for their turn and cheer on their fellow classmates. Everyone had so much fun that they all want to do it again.
Sports month- A4 all children were most excited when the time came for them to play bowling. On their first attempt, kids kept on missing the bowling pins, but they learned to never give up and keep on trying again until they finally hit the pins. Eventually, kids were making a strike and everyone gave a wild cheer and supported each other.
KIK WORLD CUP of Soccer
First annual soccer match B1 class vs. B2 class. We spent the last month teaching the kids about organized sport from around the world. We taught them about good sportsmanship. B1 class was able gain victory in the last few minutes of the match. B1 class scored 3 goals and B2 scored 2 goals.
This month we talked about sports and we let kids play soccer. We had lots of fun in our soccer match B1 Vs B2. We taught the rules of soccer to the children. We learn about good sports values like determination, persistence, and how to aim at our goal not at opposing teams’ goal. Special thanks go to our supporters! B3 parent
Sports month we talked about sports and let kids play many different international sports and game. B3 kids met real kung-fu masters, watched their spectacular moves and tried some, too. We learned the principle of kung-fu: safety, respect，and discipline. We hope these principles will accompany all of you in the path of your life!
C-1 class learned to play many types of free form games that focused on balance and gross motors skills. We made many fun obstacles for the children to play on. We taught common games that we play in America that uses simple toys like jump ropes, balls and discs.
I took the time to talk with the kids about the equipment that we use to play American Football. First, we discussed how we stay safe by wearing the right equipment and following the rules of the game. We played football with the kids by throwing and passing the football outside. My team joined us and we gave a full demonstration about how football is played. I was so happy that I could share my experience of playing American football with all the KIK students.
