理想的风景和理想的人——业晓凯个展

问象艺术空间将于2019年5月11日开启艺术家业晓凯的展览：理想的风景和理想的人。

业晓凯的画，起初很简单，带着一份亚洲人的柔和与随性。这与他的教育经历有关，“有无”观念深入其心；也与他的生活状态相关，不喝酒，不抽烟，少量社交，一切风平浪静，这些从他的衣着上也可看一二。

后来的绘画，看上去复杂了一些，但构图简洁且明快，题材仍是之前的自然延续——蓝天、白云、泳池、桌球、女孩，都是理想的风景和理想的人。端详他的画面细节，就像是在理解一句诗歌中的句法和韵律。

他的精神源泉在美术史的深处，一块肃静的理性之地上承载着混沌的感性世界。《加德纳艺术通史》是他的常读书目，凡·艾克兄弟、勃鲁盖尔、爱德华·霍普、卡茨也对他影响至深。他对造型和色彩有着严格的要求，这来源于他对人及物的爱，而情感表达中又有一丝不易察觉的随意。他没有勃鲁盖尔、卡茨式的热烈，也不止于爱德华·霍普的清冷，他的表达出乎情、止于礼，是优美和克制的。 

回顾业晓凯并不漫长的艺术创作历程，学习理论是前半段，从事绘画是后半段，难得的是如今两者在他身上都体现得专业而地道。经过多年努力，困境、纠缠、彷徨，年轻时遇到的那些问题终将烟消云散，而他将在这种互相验证中平和地行走下去。

The paintings of Ye Xiaokai were quite simple at first,with a unique Asian softness and casualness.This is related to his educational experience,in which the concept of “with or without” is deeply rooted in his heart.This is also related to his current life status-no drinking,no smoking,a small amount of socializing.Everything in his life is tender and peaceful,which can be seen from his clothes as well.Later paintings of him looked a bit more complicated,but the composition remained simple and bright,and the subjects in his paintings were still natural continuations of the past - blue sky,white clouds,swimming pools,billiards,girls,all of which are ideal landscapes and ideal people.Looking at his painting details is like understanding the syntax and rhythm of a poem. 

His spiritual source is in the deep of art history,which is a silent and rational land carrying an emotional world of chaos.Gardner’s Art Through the Ages is his regular reading, Van Eyck, Bruegel Pieter, Edward Hopper and Alex Katz also have a profound influence on him. He has strict requirements on structure and color, which comes from his love for people and things around, and his expression of love and emotion usually hides a touch of randomness. He is neither as enthusiastic as Bruegel or Katz, nor as cold as Edward Hopper. His expression of love is graceful and restrained.

Looking back on the limited history of Ye Xiaokai’s artistic creation, one can see that the first half is studying art theory and the second half is painting practice. What is rare is that both of them are professional and authentic on him right now. After years of hard work, dilemmas, discussions,hesitations…the problems encounter in youth will eventually vanish, and he will go on his way peacefully in this mutual verification.

2013年毕业于南京艺术学院，获得硕士学位。近期的展览包括：“修复计划”，南京艺术学院美术馆，南京（2017）; “REMIX”南京青年当代艺术家群展，金鹰当代艺术空间，南京（2017）；尤伦斯（UCCA）艺术理想国大展，UCCA当代艺术中心，北京（2016）；“空间协商”中央美术学院第三届CAFAM双年展，中央美术学院美术馆，北京（2016）。作品入选《2015江苏当代艺术年鉴》，南京艺术学院，南京（2015）；《2015中国行为艺术年鉴》，中国行为艺术研究中心（COPAR），北京（2015）；作品入选《2016江苏当代艺术年鉴》，南京艺术学院，南京（2016）。

Graduated from Nanjing University of the Arts in 2013 and received a master's degree.Recent exhibitions : “Restoration Plan”, AMNUA, Nanjing（2017）, “REMIX” Nanjing Young Contemporary Artists Group Exhibition, Golden Eagle Contemporary Art Space, Nanjing (2017); “UTOPIA” (UCCA), UCCA Contemporary Art Center, Beijing (2016); “Space Negotiation” the 3rd CAFAM Biennale, CAFA Art Museum, Beijing (2016). His works were selected into 2015 Jiangsu Contemporary Art Yearbook, Nanjing University of the Arts, Nanjing (2015); 2015 China behavior art Yearbook, Center of Performance Art Research (COPAR), Beijing (2015)；2016 Jiangsu Contemporary Art Yearbook, Nanjing University of the Arts, Nanjing (2016).

策展人

左茜茜（b.1989） 2013年毕业于南京艺术学院获硕士学位，2015年毕业于The University of Queensland（澳大利亚）获硕士学位。曾任Pearllam Galleries (艺术门画廊)项目负责人及Mirror News（澳洲镜报）艺术板块撰稿人及译者。现生活和工作于深圳，担任星河国风艺术馆（深圳）策展人。

Sissi Zuo (b.1989)  Received Bachelor of Fine Arts(Arts Management) and Master of Fine Arts（Art History）at Nanjing University of the Arts in 2013. Later, received Master of Arts(Translation and Interpreting) at The University of Queensland in 2015; Previously worked at Pearllam Galleries(Shanghai, China) as project manager and at Mirror News(Brisbane, Australia) as art journalist and translator. Currently lives in Shenzhen and works as a curator at Guofeng Art of Galaxy Holding Group.
