The 40 days of China's Spring Festival travel rush have begun. At Wuhan Railway Station, a group of international volunteers can be seen. They’re answering questions at the information desk, helping carry heavy luggage for the passengers and providing food services on the train.
The high speed trains have made rail travel in China more convenient than ever. These international volunteers will be of great help using their bilingual skills.
This year, 22 million rail trips are expected to be made in Wuhan during the Spring Festival travel rush. That will be 1.29 million more trips than last year. Volunteers are badly needed to cope with the ever-increasing passenger volume during the festival.
